• Nepal's wire rods imports were recorded at 15,300 t in Jun'22, up 69.2% as against May.

• Billet imports grew by 9% and flat steel (HRC/plates) by 3% m-o-m in Jun.

• However, sponge iron imports fell to 38,500 t in Jun as against 40,100 t in May.

 

Nepal's wire rods and flat steel imports may fall sharply due to imposition of export duties by the Indian government, while sponge iron and billet imports may remain volatile. --SteelMint
